There has to be a better way! Dissatisfaction with oil changes performed by a contractor on a wind farm in which the two current C&D directors Peter Claußen and Jens Dreessen were involved in 1999 led to the company C&D Ölservice being founded. A decision was made to change the oil themselves from then on. This initially led to a simple pump-and-hose system being developed as a basic idea for what was to become a mobile technological solution, and the beginning of C&D Ölservice. 

The year 2000 saw the first mobile oil change, which was then mostly applied to wind turbines on the west coast of Schleswig-Holstein. The technology, processes and procedures underwent constant development and improvement over the years that followed as the company grew from strength to strength. The company also began expanding on the regions and business areas it served in Germany and beyond. The team now has twenty-four employees located in the North Frisian town of Oldenswort in the midst of one of the leading wind power-producing regions in Europe. 

Equipment manufacturing and operating companies as well as wind turbine operators in Germany and several other European countries have since come to appreciate the company's services and high quality in oil and coolant changes. So far, C&D Ölservice has carried out around eighteen thousand oil changes. The rapid development seen in the past two decades has shown no signs of slowing down – not only at C&D Ölservice, but also in wind power as an energy source of the future: more turbines, higher performance, onshore and offshore installations, more complex technology, and increasingly tight competition in power from renewable energies. We intend to keep on making our contribution to the success and competitiveness of wind power with effective services while minimising downtime and ensuring reliability in wind turbines.
